Professional
photographers have a story to tell with each picture they take.
Often, their search for the best shots can take them around the world, aiming for the near impossible when striving for the perfect picture..... This is something Stephen Hayes , who has travelled the globe, knows all too well.... "Photography is about having a passion for creating an image....for me there was always a challenge of capturing the emotion & intensity in a single frame...." says Stephen After a stint as a cinematographer for the 'Film Business of NSW' in Sydney, followed by several years as a camerman / director for Channel 7 in Australia, Stephen was offered a contract in Dublin, working as a camerman / director. "This where things really started to happen for me, it was a very exciting & fast - paced lifestyle...." |

He filmed the whos who of Europe,
including the likes of : Margaret Thatcher, U2 and David Bowie....
"Doors opened for me in ways I could not have imagined...." Despite all the hype & glamour involved in the life of film & TV, Stephen's stills camera remained at his side & he snapped away at every opportunity. "I would always have it with me & my passion for still photography grew...." "It gets back to the core aim of image making: striving to capture the moment....a look, a glance, some form of connection" "I don't take snapshots, I want to tell a story, certainly to record, but as importatntly to do it with an art component, both seamlessly combined into one image....well, that's the plan anyway" source: Gold Coast Bulletin.
